My Health Guide wins Health Network Partnership Award

Having been shortlisted for yesterday’s Innovation, Improvement & Impact Conference award (for performance through partnership), we were already excited before we arrived at the event. It was a great day, lots to digest around digital and the NHS, how Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) have a role to play in facilitating companies like Maldaba to engage with the NHS, and hearing about some of the digital innovation that’s currently underway.
We were thrilled to win our category of Performance through Partnership, demonstrating how the partnership of Maldaba and Humber NHS Trust in delivering the My Health Guide technology for adults with learning disabilities is having a profound effect on patients’ quality of life, as well as an impact on service utilisation figures. Whilst not our first award for the My Health Guide project, this award is a testament both to the staff at Maldaba and Humber Trust, but also to the care partners involved in supporting the project (such as Miller’s), and the hard-working staff there. Finally it demonstrates the abilities and enthusiasms of the learning-disabled cohort to embrace this technology and to reap its rewards.
